Holmach appointed new agent for Perfinox

Leading technology provider, Holmach Ltd, has been appointed the new agent for Perfinox of Porto, one of Europe’s leading vessel and cooking system builders.

Perfinox who celebrated 21 years in business this year, manufacture components and systems for cooking, cooling, CIP and rapid heating/cooling in a state-of-the-art factory, around 45 minutes from Porto.  Employing over 100 employees, Perfinox had previously concentrated on supplying systems to other leading process systems integrators but have now decided on expanding their sales network.  Holmach was their natural choice for entering the UK market given the technical depth of experience.

Products such as the Perfitherm, a vertical scraped surface heat exchanger and Perficlean, a compact CIP system for sauce and dairy manufacturers, have already received a positive response from end users, with orders already in build.

Teaming up with OAL for Steam Infusion means that Holmach will be able to offer cutting edge cooking solutions as well as the more traditional indirect and coil type vessels.  These can be coupled with either inline or batch cooling systems using both liquid and vacuum designs.

Holmach’s Managing Director, Chris Holland said: “We spent 6 months evaluating a number of cooking system suppliers across Europe and decided that Perfinox offered the best solutions for the UK.  Their wide experience in sauces, ready meals and baby foods was particularly important given that the UK is one of the most dynamic markets for these products, we are already finding substantial interest”.

One of the latest new machines is the Perfitech, an all in one processing vessel that can include heating and cooling, homogenisation and emulsification and built in CIP.  Coupled with Steam Infusion, rapid batch turnaround can be achieved, one client running upto 450 SKUs per week.  Vessels range in size from 200 to 3000 litres.
